Someone else has owned potpourri.com for 18 years, you will find the obvious good names are already taken.
I would suggest you Not tackle a general ecommerce site, you have a better chance of getting free traffic through search engines if you focused on a less competitive niche, it may make more sense to crate separate sites for those different products as you grow.
There are sites with tools that help you come up with fictitious names, including: wordlab.com, naming.net, wordoid.com, lingzini.com, namestation.com, domainsBot.com some of these tools look up the domain name availability as you go.
If you find an available .com name, there's a high probability that it' not a trademarked name.
Goodguy,
Potpourri is easy to remember but I don't know is it right for an start up online shopping store. Target a specific Niche like online Shopping Store for Old Woman, Working Woman etc.
For Web2.0 domain names you can use domai.nr, Panabee or Domize sites
I would say it looks like someone else already owns the domain name.
