Okay, so I'm only 13, but I still wanna take the first step for something. So far, I wanna go to optometry school, or be a pro photographer.
I'm kinda leaning towards photography, though.
What would be the first step at my age to make positive that I wanna be a photographer??
I do not have a digi camera, or any camera for that matter, besides a throw away one.
Is there anywhere that I can get a good camera, cheap? Links??
Also, I'd like to get an old-fashioned Polaroid camera?? Anywhere to get them? (The ones where you snap a pic and they come out right then and there)
Thanks!

First of all, polaroid has discontinued the film for the automatic cameras. Fuji has an automatic camera for about $150. You can still get the polaroids new, but I wouldn't bother since they are not making the film anymore.
The first step is to get a camera and take lots of pictures. You could start with a 35mm slr for a lot less than a digital slr. Because you will have to pay more for mistakes with 35mm than with a digital, you will be more focused on getting it right.

This site talks about the pros and cons of some of the canon and nikon 35mm slrs. There are other brands of slrs out there. Minolta was taken over by Sony which doesn't make 35mm slrs, but you can find older minolta slrs on ebay for a great deal. And they use the lenses for the Sony alpha dslrs.
Just remember whichever brand you choose, you are making a commitment to the brand because over time you will invest quite a bit of money into accessories for your slrs and if you choose the same brand every time, most of your accessories can be used on your new cameras. This means you don't have to buy new lenses each time you get a new camera body. Lenses can last for decades.
If considering a digital slr look here to see all the options for an entry level slr:

Polaroid has gone out of business, I think. If you get an old-fashioned Polaroid camera you are going to have to spend a crap ton for the film. It's pretty pricey since you have to buy the film off ebay or some other auction site.
If there is a college with an art program close to you, I would go there to ask questions about choosing art as your college choice. 13 is also a good age to go apply to a visual arts high school. If you are going to pick photography you need to take some drawing, painting, design, etc classes. I think it's essential. You might be surprised at what you can do with constant practice. It's hard work, but the potential for a beneficial outcome is great.
Good luck.
I would look around ebay for some cheap cameras, but I got my Kodak EasyShare for about $150.
I picked up a polaroid in a thrift store for about $10. However there is no guarantee that it will work if you buy it from there. It won't come with film, so you can't try it at the store and they usually have a no return policy. Film runs about $30 for a Polaroid600 camera.
That may be your best bet if youre looking to stay on the cheaper side.
Good luck!
I would call around to local photographers. Tell them your interests and see if they would be willing to spend some time showing you the ropes. They may even break a camera out and let your shoot some, if you are interested.
Start taking art classes in jr high/high school (if your school has art classes).
Call a local college that has a photography class/program and ask if you can "sit in" one day to see what it's like.
Whether your camera is a fancy one, or a cheap disposable one, keep taking pictures, but purposefully look at what you're doing, pay attention to your angle, and your composition.
And, lastly, look at photography. Find websites of photographers that inspire you, buy a book/magazine with photographs that you like. And (what's more important) study those pictures and learn what it is you like about them. This will give you ideas to use in your own work: is it the angle, is it the pose, is it the scenery....just keep shooting.
