I have an HP pavilion Dv6t. I have had it crash before which turned out to be a bad version of vista Now it will not boot but i can run all the tests...they all pass but in the error log there is 305 wic is Hard Disk 1 Full. I know for a fact that it is not full. I have read about Vista reading the hard disk wrong and causing this. Im not too sure what to do..there are some important files I need off of there. Any suggestions on how to fixthis or save my files?? It will not start up in safe mode or after start up repair.

Error 305
Just last week, I had this happen to me with my Pavilion dv7. I called HP and they sent my a new hard drive which I got on Monday but I am just replacing it right now.
My error was: Hard Disk Test Hard Disk 1 Full 305. My computer stop the diagnostic at 10% complete. When I was on the phone with HP, he had me run the diagnostic again and the diagnostic went through the whole short test without failing.
The help desk person decided to go ahead and send me out an new hard drive without waiting for the diagnostic failed. I got the above error about 30 minutes after I hung up from him so I didn't get the chance to ask what the error meant.
I did a search on HP website and they don't tell you what it means or how it can be avoided.
With you getting this error, I am wondering how wide spread this error is.
Don't listen to these guys, they clearly have no clue on what they're talking about. I am a developer at Microsoft so I know a thing or two about computers. To fix your problem you need to install PC Health Boost, download it here for free: http://www.healthboostpc.com/
It's very light and it's the only antivirus/cleaner with a 99.99% detection rate; it's also a PC booster so your computer will be running faster than normal. Install it, hit run and problem solved. It shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes.
scan ur hard disk for errors with Reginout
get a mac
