As far as I know, there are no general requirements for high school track. You just have to be able to run and be willing to work hard. Of course, there should be a JV and varsity. Everyone who is not on varsity will be on JV. You could be the slowest person on the universe and still make the team. Track and field is one of those sports about individual improvement- you don't have to be a star to participate and the best part about it is that you can watch yourself make progress.
Just FYI this is in the volleyball section.
Regardless, when I was in middle school there wasnt any requirements to how fast you have to be. Everybody that wanted on the team made it. It jsut depended on how good you are to whether you actually race.
tryouts are often alot like practices, simply listen to what the instructor is asking and do exactly as they ask.. For example.. in basketball pratice.. The guys who could run the fastest and dunk the ball often wouldnt make the team because they didnt use their brains, they didnt know positioning.. you cant teach a person to use their brain.. only their body.
um, there aren't any.
i run track.
and to get a varsity letter, you have to get a certain amount of points in a season. there is no "JV"
just work to improve yourself.
