She refuses to say what she wants, and I want to get the gift that says, I love you and you're amazing. Help?
Update:First if I don't have the money for jewelry why would I get her a gift card to the most expensive lingerie store in town.
Secondly I got her a necklace already-I want to do something new.
And thirdly I want I love you, not I wanna see your **** in pink lace....

well tough question, i would let her know that she can't expect you to read her mind, some people do this to 'test' you like how well do u know me? do you know me well enough to figure out what i want with out me telling you. also she may not know what she wants, that happens to me a lot, as far as actually getting her a gift, do get her something, instead of actual gift how about an experience? like going some where, a favorite place, a museum, an amusement park
I think I'm that kind of girl, so these would be my ideas:
Flowers - not expensive valentines-y ones like red roses, more like colorful gerber daisies or something along those lines. Flowers seriously brighten everybody's day.
Poetry - this can be broad. It could mean you writing poetry for her, or it could mean you compiling or citing a favorite poem in some way. Something about poetry just says "Love" to me, in a way that mocks "lust."
A Book - I think no matter who you are, there is a genre of books you love. Perhaps you could ask someone who works at Barnes and Noble (or something similar) what their recommendations would be. However, I would stay away from cheesy romance, and even best-sellers. Find something unique to her. Maybe even a book of poetry, if that's her thing.
Music - Is there a CD or band she loves or even a great mix you could make her? I love when people make me mixes, because all those songs begin to remind me of them. Also, I don't know if she plays and instrument of any sort, but maybe sheet music for if she does. I'm a piano major, and I love when people get me music to play.
Make her a fabulous dinner - Or breakfast when she wakes up.
Other tips: Gift cards are horribly lame and no one really wants chocolates as an "I love you" token. Also, I think jewelry is only for REALLY special occasions, like weddings and special anniversaries (like the 10, 25, 50).
Hope that helps! Good luck with everything!
You should ask her mom or best friend. Im sure she has mentioned something. My favorite birthday was where my bf took me out to the big arts center in Denver and we watched a play with another couple we are good friends with. Went to dinner. It was so much fun, and so different than just the usual "hanging out". Im not saying DO THAT, im just saying sometimes an activity and pictures from it are so much more fun and memorable than a trinket gift.
....and flowers :)
If she says she wants nothing, it means she wants no money (or nothing with money in it). Get her something extremely personalized. Either share with her a part of your heart (in some artistic expression?? a song or drawing or something? it doesnt have to be good...) Or get something that she specifically would like. You'd have to know her pretty well for this.... One of my favorite gifts ever was a mixed tape of all of my favorite songs and I was baffled for ages that he knew which ones I liked :P If you know she likes a certain sports team?? DONT get her tickets to a game! Thats a money gift; it's probably obvious that she likes them and no big thing :P
Jewelry. I hate it, but a necklace or a ring would be nice. If you don't have that kind of money, get her a gift card to victoria secret or something.
She's a girl, so I assume she likes the Beatles. The U.K. government is minting commemorative John Lennon coins for around $65. They're only making 5,000 of those, so if you can get one, DO IT.
For a once-in-a-lifetime gift like that, she should HAVE to do anything to you physically ;) just kidding!
I used to say noting because I wanted for my love to figure out what I really wanted. I wanted for him to know me as well as he did his Mom. Observe her and study what she likes, she will be super happy if you can guess or remember when she said something about somewhat that she would like. Good luck!
Make her a build-a-bear because it takes a lot of thought...I've told people not to get me anything because I knew they were broke but I was just being nice but when they got me something I was really happy lol
