ummm this is weird but i'm gonna ask anyways.
my mom said you're not supposed to leave a tampon in for any longer than 8 hours, but when im gonna go to sleep i know i'll sleep longer than that, so will i be fine or not?
Update:what about that shocky syndrome thingy that you get from leaving it in 4 too long?

Use a pad when you go to sleep. It's dangerous to leave a tampon in for that long, you're actually only supposed to leave them in for like, four hours. You can get TSS if you leave them in for too long so play it safe and use a pad when you sleep.
Yeah, don't leave it in for more than 8. If you're heavy right now, then you might wake up once in the night to change it. Or, just use a pad while you sleep b/c blood flow isn't that bad b/c you're laying down and you won't have to wake up. Either, or.
don't it's very dangerous. you can get TSS that's called toxic shock syndrome i think. it comes with flu like symptoms and i remember reading an article about it where a girl nearly died from it. it's really not safe. i wouldn't take the chance

yeah ur ok. i sleep with them in and i sleep way longer then 8 hours. if u dont wanna risk it u can sleep with a pad..

no dont use a tampon when your sleeping. rather use a nightime pad, it is safer. they are made specifically for night time. better safe than sorry sweets. xx

yah, you'll be fine...you usually bleed less while you're asleep anyways
