My girlfriend and I are going on a time vacation. We're going through TemporalTravels so we know we're getting a good deal.
We're thinking of traveling to China in the early 1700's. We've looked it up and we know the details of the time period.
I was just wondering if anyone had any good tips for time traveling as this is my first time.
Particularly I'm concerned about vaccinations and the food in that time period but any information would be useful.

You should be alright. China was doing a lot of trading with Europe in the 18th century so you should be able to easily explain your presence there. As for diseases, back then they were a lot less resistant to antibiotics.
Tips given below....
- Never take help during check point on airport. Some people take chance to export drug through this way.
- Never take help without asking someone.
- Never be late by night from the places you'll going for the visit.
- Never some places where rare people seen.
That's all from my side. I don't know about china so I can't say anything.
One word: insurance. Time traveler's insurance is a lifesaver, I can tell you. Nothing like being mugged and half dead on the cobblestones of 1500's London... it should also cover medical expenses associated with any weird diseases you pick up there, too. Have fun!
bring a GPS navigator with you :) and don't worry too much about the disease, on the year you said, few people die because of chronic diseases. so i guess both of you will be safe.
lame. totally overrated. you gotta check out when Jesus was healing people! that was some legit stuff right there! dead people being raised!
