Hello, I am Ariel, I'm 15 and new and in love with photography. :)
Alright, so I am borrowing my sisters camera, and I am going to give a photoshoot to a nice family I am close too. They are really sweet, they want some family photos. I know a lot about lighting, and about being creative, and have taken some good shots. I am just nerveous because this is my first photo shoot with people. I have always been into nature and animals with photography. Though models, are new for me, plus I am shy,
help me out with some tips?

I agree with the other answer about using natural light whenever possible. In other words, take the pictures outside with sun behind you. It gets more complicated when you have to set up lighting. To make them look professional, you often need some expensive lights.
Also just be honest. Don't try to act like you've been doing this for years. Let them know you might have to take a few shots instead of just one for example.
I just did an interview with photographers, and they give some great tips. You can see the interview here: http://platform41.com/an-interview-on-the-impact-o... and check out some other good resources for photographers on the blog and other places around the site.

That is where the tuition is available in. Take a picture classification to study the fundamentals ie: Circle of confusion, Gaffing and Composition. Look up the meanings of those and Get “Books” on them so you could have on the spot reference. The excellent instructor is experience and your creative notion.

Get in CLOSE. Shoot faces, expressions, not groups or full figure, head to toe
