Just found out I am having a girl!!!! Now what does everyone think of Kaleigh Allison Bolt? But her dad wants to call her Ally, will that be to confusing?
i love your name choice. and i dont think it will be confusing at all... my dads name is glen thomas, and his whole family calls him pete. where pete came from, i dont know. but he still knows his name and tells everyone his name is pete. lol. im having a girl too... we're naming her Makenzi Leigh Buratti. Congrats on your little girl, and Love the name!!! Good luck and God bless!!!
I have three names 1 2 3 then last.. and my parents called me by my #2 name... gets very confusing now that I am grown and have ID cards for driving and SIN # and such.. filling out forms is very hard... go with Allison Kaleigh .. say it a bunch.. it fits and will make her life a bit easier. That being said.. I always liked having my name be a bit different than everyone elses:)
I suggest if her dad wants to call her Ally, then have her first name be Allison. We named our daughter Julia, but her dad started calling her Jules. That is now her nickname. But, on the other hand, my nephew's name is Samuel Scott, but everyone has always called him Scotty. So, I guess some people don't mind calling their children by their middle name instead of their first. Congratulations on your new baby girl, no matter what her name is!
My daughter is having a boy but had picked the name Allyana if it was a girl...just incase you wanted another ally name ...your name is beautiful though and calling her Ally might be a little confusing.
Your daughter will do fine with a nickname. My two-year old responds equally well to her name, Christan, or either of the two nicknames we've used--Baby Girl and Stinkpot (you don't want to know). I also have two nieces who go by their middle names, one a shortened version. Name her what you want, and then call her what you want. I like your choices.
I have always loved the name "Aria", like the operatic solo for a woman, or the womans crescendoe in an operatic performance. I think it also means "Beautiful Song", but I am not sure in what language.
2nd -- my nephew is Steve, but his full name is Michael Steven. He only had a couple teachers/people call him Mike. He politely corrected them and all was just fine.

If her dad wants to call her Ally why don't you switch the two names around? That way you have both names, and less confusion for your daughter.
Congrads, I think Kaleigh is cool, it's unique. Good Luck

Sounds good. You can call her whatever you want, there shouldn't be confusion (you should both call her the same thing though).
