Am I truly lazy?
or just apathetic to the standards of society?
I just really hate gardening.
All my neighbours have stuff in their gardens and pots of flowers but I just couldn't do it this year. Should I? Can I steal their pot plants in the middle of the night? They all look the same.
Update:I truly have tried gardening and even used to grow veggies.

You don't need to do gardening if you hate it. And no you are not lazy. Do something that interest you and where you have fun. You don't have to garden, just because your neighbours do. And no, it is not a good idea to steal their pot plants in the middle of the night!
I don't garden and I am perfectly fine. I go outdoors and skate or bike. Anyway, I thought gardening was for elderly people?
Nah, your on a downer, dont take it out on your neighbours. When you feel like it just say to them 'I like your flowers, can you give me some tips, please?'.
I love growing things but cant as I live in a unit with no balcony, if you get the motivation, try growing herbs. They are cute and useful.
Dont be apathetic, give gardening a go, once you start, you'll get 'into it', trust me.
I think your just not interested in gardening, it's no big deal. If you go to your local gardening store and take a look around there might be something fun and different that will catch your eye that you will find interesting. If you have kids get them involved, that will make it fun too! Happy gardening
It's okay to hate gardening. It doesn't mean you're lazy or apathetic, just that your aesthetic tastes differ from your neighbors. You could opt out for some nice sculpture instead but you may want to chain it down, lest your neighbors have the same midnight "shopping" ideas...
Lazy is a term to hide the shame in not being able to get something done. Honestly, you shouldn't have to do anything that isn't a necessity for survival.
Don't steal their plants.
Tell everyone how you have returned to nature berate them on how un-natural and artificial their gardens look.
