if you prefer to make your gift, it more cheap and save. why not to make a picture frame,instead of buying one.Or, digital scrapbook with picture of your friend, it can be easily made with scrapbook maker program, no computer skills needed.

Add with creative card with picture or/and some words or message inside it, will be great gift without spend a lot of money

In the next few months, take pictures of you and her ALOT. Then, grab a few magazines from the store and a scrap-book (at ACmoore) and print out all those pictures and cute out a whole bunch of words from the magazines and the pictures along with some cute stickers to make a scrapbook expressing how close you guys are as friends.

Most girls like champagne and glasses when they turn eighteen - but make sure it is legal in your area first. Music is great if you don't know the person that well. If you don't have much money, you can always make your own CD for them. Photos on a CD or a book give a great personal touch.

Something to put in her glory box, most 18yr olds have moved or are thinking about moving out of home, hopefully they would have started a glory box (A chest to put stuff in for when you move out i.e Linen, electric appliances, cutlery, tupperware). Or money, every 18 yr old girl loves money, just don't give it too her before she's about to go to the pub for the first time (hehe!)
