Owners manual will tell you how to reset the light.... On some GM vehicles you turn the ignition switch to the on position then press and hold the odometer reset button until the oil change light flashes then goes off.... check your manual...by the way that light doesn't know if you have changed your oil or not, its just a suggestion based on how you drive your vehicle....I change mine every 3500 miles and the light usually doesn't come on until 5000 miles or more....

Check owners manual. My 2000 Chevy: turn key to on position, do not start, press gas pedal to the floor three times, and it resets. good luck

key to on psoition then gas pedal all the way to the floor 3 times.
Try to disconnect the negative battery cord (usually the black one) and connect it again
