So I just bought a 94 Honda Accord. I am planning on going this week to the BMV to get the title/ registration and everything. Anyway, earlier today I was finishing filling out the title and accidentally wrote 108,000 for the mileage. However, the actual mileage for the car is 118,000. On the title I got from the previous owner it says that the mileage is "Exempt". I am aware that if I change the title, it is void so, what should I do? (In Indiana.)

Congratulations! Well, I'm not sure how things work in the area you reside so I'm just going to suggest a logical route.
The very first logical step is to talk to the BMV and ask them how to correct the mistake. They might make you fill a new set of papers or submit a correction affidavit or something.
If the odometer reading is less than what it says on the title, it constitutes a crime and the "seller" is liable for punishment etc. That doesn't affect you right now because you are the "buyer", but I believe it might constitute a fraud when you sell the car in the future, because then there would be a discrepancy of 10,000 miles in the history of your car and the titles!
Or if you can, convince them that you drove 10,000 miles to get to them! :)

In most states cars over 100,000 miles are assumed to be exempt from mileage declarations on a title. Don't sweat it. Go get your title transferred.
do no longer replace or attempt to "white out" something. In my state, according to my DMV, i could purely clarify on a different sheet of paper, signed and dated. yet does not it make greater experience to ask your DMV what to do? BTW,making use of "ok" to intend a million,000 besides the actual incontrovertible fact that extensively used now's incorrect. It does no longer mean a million,000.
