can transmission mounts be slipped intoa 65 bug without pulling the motor ?
You can change the nosecone mount without removing the engine or transmission.
The rear mounts that go through the clutch housing (bell housing) have nuts that can only be accessed by removing the engine.
BTW it is "quite" true.
You will have to pull the sheet metal around the motor, so you can lower it.
you can leave it mounted to the transaxle
^^^^^^^ Not quite true, but it is a whole lot easier with the engine out and the engine is not that hard to R/R just label where all wires and hoses go. Get a manual.
