People in sales/business may have to travel for clients, promotions, fairs, advertising, etc.
Big companies that have branches in other cities, states or countries may give you the opportunity to travel to that particular country if your skills are needed there.
I understand that IT is a very popular field and that people with those skills are often transferrable.
Any global organization (offices in more than one country) will give an opportunity like that. A bank like the one I work for frequently has higher level employees travelling.
