I have a Intel Celeron 2.13 Ghz.....yeah i know, roll your eyes thats all i can afford.....i had a 256 DRR ram which came with the machine, i just brought another 128 of DRR ram, it worked fine for a while, but to my *really* horror......my system kept crashing......Please help me.....what could be the trouble, and how do i 'shoot' it, with the most minimum cost.......my tute classes take all my dough......:-<
Update:yes it most defintely da new ram thats butting around.....*cough* *cough*....sorry no pun intended.....

did you buy the correct memory and install it properly??
If you did then buy some more to prevent crashes
Run disk cleanup, defrag and disk check
The very first thing to determine is if it IS the extra ram that`s causing the problem.You might have picked up a virus at about the same time as you got the extra ram. Usually, extra ram won`t cause crashes.
It is not uncommon that conflicts exist between the RAM slots perticularly when there is more than one RAM of different capacity connected in different slots (and different make). It is recommended that you exchange both the RAMs to purchase a 512 MB DDR RAM.
First, pull out the new RAM you bought and try using the machine for a while. If it doesn't crash, then you know it's an issue with the RAM, could be defective, or it could be incompatible with your machine.
probably... its because.. you got 2 types of ram modules... thats what is crashing the system.. in older systems its gotto be of the same size and all the whole deal...
otherwise it wont work that well... see off both rams get one 512 ... before that chek if your systme supports that
