At 18 months you will only be training yourself. That is too early. Wait until she is about 2 1/2. If she is ready, you will know, because it will only take a day and she will be done. When my son was that old I started offering him gummy bears to go potty. When he refused they I just waited another week and offered again. One day he went potty for me for the gummy bears. He was later outside, came to the door and said,"Get gummy bears mommy?" That was his way of telling me he had to go. He was potty trained just like that and I didn't go through months of working on it. Too stressful that way.
You can purchase a potty seat he can use at the grownup potty, or you'll be able to make him use the child. Either manner you'll be able to most commonly need to keep in the toilet with him till he is going for the primary few months of potty coaching. Don't count on him to be capable to move in there and care for it himself. Grab a booklet and plant your self till he is going. Don't make it disturbing. You can present a gift of a few sort if he makes use of both potty (like 2 m&m's). Be sufferer even supposing he is not and do not fear. Training takes time.
i have a daughter that is potty training now and i think the pullups are no help. she is constantly taking them off and running around naked so my suggestion to myself and to you is,put her in panties so that she knows when she is wet and she feels uncomfortable and it will click in her brain to use the potty so she doesn't pee her pants
