I currently have a three year old chihuahua mix, and i would say he is potty trained. Every morning we go outside first thing and he pees then when i have to walk him at night or he will not poop. This is a huge nuisance with me for a few reasons. One day when we went out there was a large bag or rich up against the wall and he peed on it. So the thing is he doesn't go to the bathroom inside the house, but when we are not there he will go to the bathroom on anything if he needs to. Now i take my fault because i forgot to let him out, but usually don't dogs wait till their owners get home to go to the bathroom outside if they're trained? I really want to reenforce his potty training to the point where there is a time where i have to run out for an hour and forget to let him out, he will wait till i get home to let him outside to pee. And for the pooping i feel like he should be going twice a day..but he only goes once, if we walk him. What dog food is high in fiber so it will make my dog poop twice a day? Thanks so much! And when i say lots of fiber i mean LOTS and it would be nice if i could buy it in bulk but if i cant its not that big of a deL. thanks so much for reading! :)

I wouldn't worry about the pooping, as long as he is going once a day he will be fine. As for the peeing in the house, it is not a potty problem, it is an anger issue and his way of saying I am upset because you left me here alone.
They talking to him just like you would a child and tell him the rules. Also tell him if you leave and come back and he didn't make a mess, you will give him a treat and praise him telling him how good he was.
Don't give him any treats unless he earns them from now on. When you are preparing to leave, constantly remind him what you expect from him and what you will give him if he is good. As your walking out the door give him his last reminder. Also tell him you will be back.
When you get home and he messed up, scold him and show him what he did and how it was naughty. Tell him he doesn't get a treat because he was naughty. Remind him through out the day that he was naughty and what he did.
Keep repeating this behavior even after the problem is corrected.
