I threw away a check?
Ok so my mom wrote a check for me to give to my soccer coach because of a pair of shorts. Anyways I went and put the check in my binder and being my stupid af self, I threw the binder away later that night thinking I wouldnt need it anymore because the school yeAr was over. So what will happen to the check? What if somebody finds it and steals the money? Or can that happen? I dont even know!! I'm literally about to cry because of how big a mistake I made and I don't know what's going to happen!! PLEASE HELP

the check will not be stolen, so don't worry about that. if your mom had already written it out to your coach, that means that your coach is the only person authorized to cash it! so harm done here, just a ditzy move. just apologize and get your mom to write another one lol
Tell your mother what happened and get her to put a "stop payment" on the check. She can then issue a second check or give you cash.
