I'm 17 and in year 11. School is a very negative place for me and I might have to repeat year 11 to continue as well.
So I decided I would do the HSC through tafe instead. But for some reason my mum thinks this means that I am giving up on education and that I'm some sort of hooligan.
I'm not quitting on education, I simply want to take an alternative route. She says that she wont support me at all if I go to tafe.
What do I do?

if u have means to suppport yourself go for it.
if not, u're at the mercy / generosity of your mum
why hate school. i did but i made the best of it. play arond, make friends, games, irritate teachers, principal knows me too well. i was called IMP!
its only 4 to 5 hours a day, 5 day week. can skip once a week.
it can be fun if u make it so!
tafe needs lots of self discipline. u have it? go for it!
