How can I change up my long & thick hair?
I'm really bored with my long and thick hair. I've always wanted to cut it, so back when I was a freshman in high school I did. It was awful. My face is the wrong shape for short hair. Since then my hair has completely grown back. I have layers and I'm still bored. I've gotten high lights, gotten it ombred, and gone darker. All the bleach really damaged my hair. Nothing looks good.
I have nooooo idea what to do! I go to a really professional hair "station". They do a great job, it just always looks the same. Even with layers and balayage highlights my hair is still boring.
Any suggestions? It would probably help if I actually blow dried & styled my hair, huh?

You sound exactly like how I was for YEARS and I still am to this day. Just someone who likes to change their hair every couple of months. I'm never satisfied and always want something NEW. I had waist length and thick hair. I've been red, black, dark brown, highlighted and all of that and Haven't been short since the 3rd grade bc I looked AWFUL with short hair. but recently I had a baby and long long hair had to go. So I got it chopped off to about collarbone length and it looked really good. Probably flattering to just about any face shape. Also think about trying a color you have never been or are afraid of doing. a red color would probably be great. Nothing like blood red or anything just something with a little pop in it. Ask your colorist to use a red tint that lifts as well as deposits color for a fun look : ) It will also be less damaging to your hair. Hope this helped a little, Good luck!!
