well ummm not technically no...I would say hot chocolate is not healthy, what with the fluff and/or whipped cream... But if you look at it optimistically then at least you can feel better about it, because really who needs the aggravation of worrying about health when you really want to enjoy chocolate. :)
Your best bet is to make it yourself: you don't have to worry about additives and such, you can skip the marshmallows, and it really is easy. There is a really good recipe for hot chocolate on the back of the Hershey's cocoa powder container. Its just cocoa, milk, sugar, dash of salt, and bit of vanilla. Cocoa has practically no fat and relatively few calories, and all them great antioxidants... so if you make it with 1percent milk then yes hot chocolate can be healthy...aside from the sugar thing... and if you are really worried about that, then skip something else in the day that has sugar and have guilt free chocolate!
There is nothing wrong with hot chocolate nor a candy bar. The problem comes when you need to increase the amount over time. So, have your hot chocolate and/or candy bar but keep a look out for the need to increase the sweets which could become unhealthy.
P.S. We normally start out small and don't see the increase until there is a problem. Best of Luck.
In my oppinion, a hot chocolate is healthier than ice chocolate. you won't drink too much because of hot, and a littele chocolate is good for your health. I recomend hot chocolate and raspberry, try that :)
yes, it contains a lot of important and good nutrients (check wikipedia.org) and - unlike a chocolate bar - the most of it is water so you would have to drink a quart every day to get fat.
apart from that, it makes you feel good (not only because of its irresistable taste), and therefore at least is healthy for your mind...

I say hott chocolate is healthy in a way if you buy low fat or less sugar or something similar to that.But,overall its not healthy.
chocolate has antioxidants so if its a dark chocolate yes, but if it tastes good and it makes you feel good...isnt that all that matters?
