I'm a freshman in high school and am having a rough time. I am in all advanced classes, which means I'm in classes with older students and nerds. The friends I do have class with don't sit by me because we sit alphabetically. I sit in the back of the class in every class and feel like as if I'm a loner. I also play football and don't get home until 6:00 every night and have games Friday nights until at least 11:00 and a JV game the next morning at 8:00. By the time I get done with all my homework after practice I have like an hour by myself. My life is really depressing right now and any tips would help.....

I think most would be jealous of you. Being in high classes doesn't make you a nerd, it makes you smart! All of those extra credits you're getting (if you get an A) count towards college. Although High School deals a lot with popularity, it's not the same later on. You're active in a sport, which colleges love. I guess I'm just trying to say that popularity completely disappears once you get into college and meet new people who are mature and don't judge you if you take a "good" or "bad" class. So don't fall behind in your studies. Getting the grade will impact your life forever, and dropping a hard subject so you could have a friend in class with you or be "cool," that only lasts for 4 years at this point. I think you're doing great, and you should look forward to a time of day when you can see your friends instead of thinking in class how lonely you are. *Side note: Do plenty of clubs and community service, that's going to help you a ton if you're looking for a good college ;)
Don't let your studies slip!!!!
That's my greatest advice. When you hit senior year, you'll be happy when you apply to colleges.
For the social situation, talk to your friends at lunch, after class, group projects, before class, and make an effort to do some social things on the weekends. Hang out with some football players! They have roughly the same amount of free time as you do. You could hang out right after the JV games and just grab lunch or something. Have fun, freshman year is almost carefree!
