One of my friends told me high school is what you make it. Be ready because the teachers WILL NOT baby you around. They'll give you work and expect you to do it. Teacher: Just do what they tell you (and if possible do better than what they tell you) and as long as your not being a pain in their A** they pretty much like you. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY RELAX!!!!!!! Highschool is fun. You may have more responsibility but you also have more freedom. There are gajillions of teams to join. The football games are fun. And there are just so many things going on. I'll be a sophomore next year and last year i was stressin too. Teachers really do love students who are funny and have good grades. (are you going to higher level classes cuz if you are they are hard but usuall more fun because the teachers are not as restricted to what they have to teach). Actually my teachers liked me and i was pretty mediocre in my work. SO easy to slack off. About lunch, find a friend and hang onto them for dear life. Ok not that dramtically, but you don't want to haveto sit in lunch by yourself. The upperclassmen don't really pick on anyone unless they are annoying or mean or uppity..etc. Only the really immature ones do that on a regular basis to random freshmen. Usually they are pretty nice, try to make friends with them, but in high school you really find out who you are. So go to the mall get a bunch of new clothes, wear them confidently (even when you don't feel confident) and people will want to be friends with you when you let your personality shine and don't follow others. And i am so serious when i say join a club or team and do some community service.Don't forget who your friends are.

Did you get advice before going in? If so did it help? sometimes I think advice can be useless until the person experiences it. Just look out for him make sure he's got his stuff together, encourage him to do good in class and socialize. If you had a teacher that he is having then let him know what he should or shouldnt do to get on their good side. Highschool is easy as long as you dont slack off and get mixed up in too much partying, gossip, fights, vanity. Just watch out for him :) he'll be fine like you

If he's gonna start High-school, he has a high chance of being bullied- so tell him to report any form of abuse (especialy the last day of the term/school year)

Stick with friends and find new ones this will help boost his social rating.
