the first year is THE BEST (its the only year thatt i went through so far anyways :P) and popularity doesnt really count, i was never one of those popular kids who date seniors and stuff ;) i was just always nice to people and got alot of friends in return :) popularity wont bother you after awhile if youve got some amazing close friends :)

for your hair, i usually go natural but thats because i LOVE my natural hair. not alot of people put it up or anything, i dont even put my hair up in gym since we dont even do anything in gym -___- but i always change my hairstyle. one day natural, next day straightened, next do frizzy, next day bottom layer straight top layer curled and so on and so forth :P

for the makeup, im not gonna be one of those people who say you shouldnt wear some because your too young -__- i wear some concealer, mascara, lipgloss and sometimes mascara. just go with looking natural :)

to make friends, just be friendly :) be nice to everyone because no one likes a ***** ;) talk to people that you had in your class, talk about the teacher how chill or lame you think that teacher is, talk about the subject and soon enough, youll have friends or bestfriends or atleast aquaintances :P its pretty easy, but dont push too much to become someones friend :) (third grade experience, i was basically stalking the person -___-) and YOU WILL MEET NEW PEOPLE, no matter what ;) im pretty shy and my bestfriend is like COMPLETELY sociable :P complete opposites.

your one of the lucky ones, arent you? i have uniform -___- just wear casual things and dont try to look like a slut. the sluts are always hated by most girls. wear like everyday things like jeans, a t shirt and a hoodie example of casual). dont try to dress to impress :P i cant really give much store examples but walmart, old navy, winners...

dont slack off, even near the end of the school year. each grade is important. make a schedule, or a routine. make sure you always do your homework first after school and allow yourself to do whatver youd like after :) and study in a place that you find comfortable. study atleast a few days before a test :)

Honestly, I think that you need to be friendly and approachable. No one really likes to talk/hang out with someone who is annoying or overbearing. Don't try and be someone you are not :) It may take time but you will eventually find friends that like you for who you are. In the meantime just be friendly and charismatic. I made the mistake of ditching the first few friends I made in freshman year when I thought I had made better ones, so just maintain all of your friendships along the way.

As for clothes, I would buy clothes that suit your style. Sometimes its better to look generic than to stand out. You could try forever 21, old navy, abercrombie, H&M etc. but as long as you look good and you don't have hygiene issues you should be ok. Don't wear too much makeup..and hair isn't that hard either. If you are having trouble deciding, just look up hair tutorials on youtube. Same goes for makeup.

I think that whenever you get homework or assignments, get started on them the minute you get them. Procrastination is your worst enemy in high school! Just make sure you are organised and you are getting your homework done on time. And to stay focused, have a study group or do your work in places that dont distract you.

First of all, you should consult the high school's officials on what kind of rules they got on what the students should and shouldn't wear, every school got that kind of rules. Second of all, you should observe what kind of outfits the students there wear and what the average outfits would the average student there wear. Third, you go at the first day with the outfits you got that is according to school's rules and what the average students there usually wear. If you don't have these kind of outfits, shop for them! In short, do NOT dress in high fashion for the first time there, go for the Lowest Common Denominator, then move up after you have been there for a while (a month or so). Your safety and social life is much more important than not wanting to dress like everyone else.

high school has way more people than middle school, there's plenty of new people. i always try to look good my first day of school, & my favorite store is forever 21. one thing you could do is be friendly in classes and ask if people have your lunch to make sure you have someone to sit with or just meet someone in the class before lunch and just walk with them. i'd say wear make up but don't over do it. freshman year is the easiest school work wise, but MAKE SURE you don't get caught up in all the fun with your friends, don't go ditching all the time, freshman year is like the most crucial year to make sure you don't mess up in your classes, it'll affect the rest of your time in highschool and it'll suck. Have fun though!(:

Just do something slightly different every day. Ex. curl your hair one day, have it straight the next. Wear foundation and a bit of eyeliner & mascara. And remember this: If you're friendly, people will like you.
