You are 17, (@ 16, if you live in USA) you are legally able to date anyone you want (even if they are 60 years old) If you feel that you want to see him than see him, if not than don't go, but you DO have a choice. Don't let Anyone tell you otherwise, my family tried to tell me I didn't know what I was talking about so I had her call the police and they confirmed it for me.
