Hi. I'm also a dancer. Some good hip-hop songs are Summer Love- Justin Timberlake. I choreographed a dance with that song and it was really good and fun to do. Also Show me the Money by Peto Pablo is really good. It was in the movie Step Up. Try watching that movie it will help. Also the movie Save the Last dance had some great songs and moves. Good Luck.
I am a dancer, choreographer, and dance teacher. From your other posts I gather you are looking for something for a cheerleader type of routine? Hip-Hop and Lyrical? Interesting combo, I would say some R&B blend would be the best like the Justin Timberlake song but the remix or Beyonce. Another good choice would be a Fatman Scoop mix (you may have to edit the content) As far as typing out choreography, that is kind of difficult. What I always do is pick the song then think what story am I trying to tell. Then I just freestyle for awhile, and after 3-4 times of this a couple of the same moves stick out to me then I start there. Inspiration is all around you, just gotta look. Step up, You got Served, and Stomp the Yard are all great but remember don't just copy make things your own! Good Luck!
