Im going to plan a birthday party for my friend...shes turning 15 and i want it to be at my house...its a surprise party...but i dont know what theme to make it...or anything....any ideas?
we recently had a birthday party and we had a " mythical, mystical, magicical, monster ." theme and it was huge. we had everything from fairies to leprechauns, gremlins to goblins, gods and devils, angels and demons, aliens, clowns. it was a blast, everyone put time and effort into their costumes, and it looked fantastic. we had blue lights and heaps of white and glow in the dark gear, even teeth and eyeballs glowed! we had karioke, pass the parcel, impersonations of guests, we had blindfolds and everyone had to put their hand in a bucket and guess what they were feeling, it really went off ! gonna do it again for new years eve but it will be a different age group, with different guests, i can't wait, hope you have loads of fun with what ever you do, i'm sure your friend will appreciate you taking the time to give her a surprize party, keeping it a surprize is the hard part, especially if you have a theme. cheers.
If your friend is really your friend then you've probably heard her ramble on about things she loves. It might be purses, American Idol, the color pink, ect. Once you think of it run with it. Serve what she likes to eat. Play her favorite types of music. It's her day so in reality she's the theme. But to get the juices flowing try this site: birthdaypartyideas.com

what about a Titanic Party:
A formal affair. For girls let let them dress together and make each other up.
Have servers and a Captain present for an elegant dinner. Find young musical entertainers to provide the background music.
After dinner have an adult can man the black-jack and roulette tables.
Hire a Caricaturist to draw the guests (this will be their party favor).
